After months of fruitless and exhausting searching for an outfit, and with just seven weeks until the wedding of my one and only child, I stumbled across Kevin’s website and contacted him as a Mother of the Groom trying desperately to contain a growing sense of panic. I had a mental picture of what I wanted, but nothing that an endless number of shop assistants tried to sell me came close to that. My son and I have a very close bond, and he had asked me to give a speech at the reception, so of course it was of absolute importance that I look and feel my best. On arrival at Kevin’s lovely showroom and, it was readily apparent he is a truly special person who cares deeply about his clients and takes immense pride in his work. My anxiousness was immediately replaced by relief and reassurance, as Kevin is a complete master of his craft, with a wonderful eye for colour, detail and style. While Kevin quietly set about his work, I was kept well informed and knew with total confidence that I would do myself and my son proud. Kevin’s expert guidance ensured that every single detail was perfectly coordinated and made-to-measure, from my stunning three-piece outfit, to the matching clutch purse, shoes and jewellery. He even saw to it that my ensemble had an additional mix and match option for after-wedding entertaining. I thoroughly enjoyed my son’s wedding and the numerous compliments on my outfit. I am eternally grateful to Kevin and his lovely family who are an integral part of Kevin Moore Design for ensuring this proud Mother of the Groom looked and felt elegant and stylish. Since my son’s wedding last month, I have worn my outfit to another formal occasion, and again, the compliments from friends continue to flow. Thanks to Kevin, I received the ultimate in customer care, and unreservedly recommend him for that perfect outfit.

It was my pleasure last year to meet Kevin Moore at his Auckland show room. I was recommended to see Kevin by another Dunedinite who had been dressed by Kevin for her daughter’s wedding and was delighted with the result. Upon arriving I got to try on many outfits but in the end went back to the first one I tried on and from there Kevin worked his magic and had this fitting like a glove and delivered to my door in Dunedin. I contacted Kevin after seeing his advertisement in the Canvas magazine. He was the most affable character you could ever wish to meet and his talent for dress design matches his colourful, adventurous personality. He managed to talk me into colour and design that I probably wouldn't have been brave enough to wear. Three outfits later would be a testament for his ability for me as I am the fussiest and most annoying client a poor dress designer could ever wish for. Thank you Kevin for getting me out there!

Kevin Moore has impressed me with his subtle sense of style, from Haute Couture to Resort Wear. His ability to design something appropriate, considering one's age, and personality is very reassuring. The mother of our daughter in law upheld the traditional wedding etiquette when selecting her Mother of the Bride outfit so that we did not clash with colours keeping the communication open until we were both sure what each would wear. I began with two trips to Wellington and one to Melbourne as the start of the Spring / Summer wear was entering the retail stores, but had no success. I wanted to feel elegant, formal and stylish. My daughter was to wear soft pink, the bridesmaid would be in navy and the Mother of the Bride in a silk of blues and oranges. Finally, weeks out from the wedding, I visited Kevin Moore Design, in Auckland. I arrived with thoughts of a coat and flowing dress. Three hours of fittings, trying outfits on, listening to Kevin's suggestions, Kevin listening to my ideas (such a patient man), we settled and the fitting measurements were taken. A long dress coat and fitting dress with colour choice was finalised. I left his showroom feeling unsure but, as our daughter commented, you have one son and you deserve to have an outfit that will make you feel special. No truer words spoken. Throughout the wedding and weeks that followed, I received amazing compliments. Kevin, you are amazing! The comment I will always remember from our son (the Groom), as I walked into the room wearing this design: "Mum you look stunning… you have nailed it". There's no denying that I felt great on our son's wedding day. Thank you Kevin, you truly are a great designer.

Kevin has made me at least 3 special occasion outfits. I have been delighted with them all. Always good to know you’re not going to bump into someone wearing the same thing! Along the way Kevin has suggested options that I wouldn’t have thought about but they have become key pieces in my wardrobe. Communication is easy and Kevin is always happy to courier items. Thoroughly recommend Kevin, his personality is a plus!
